Woodley Sports Centre
There are a wide variety of organisations who regularly make use of the facilities here at Woodley Sports Centre. We have in the region of 1500 people attending our site each week, which make up not only the users, but also the audience they attract.
Woodley Sports F.C.
Woodley Sports F.C. 1st team are a semi-professional football team and compete within the UniBond 1st Division North. Woodley Sports F.C. Reserve Team play within the Lancashire League and Woodley Sports F.C. Youth Team compete in the North West Youth Alliance League. Woodley Sports Football Club training nights are a Tuesday and Thursday. The first team and reserve team hold matchdays on a Saturday and the youth team on a Sunday.
Stockport College Academy
Stockport College Academy of Sport are based every weekday of term time, teaching a variety of courses, using both the pitch and on site classroom facilities. They teach a wide variety of sports based full and part time courses. We have recently renovated our Sports Bar to include a fully kitted out gym with several different pieces of weight and cardio equipment. For the 2009/2010 term, a new secured Information Technology Suite was installed.
Stockport County Ladies Football Club
Stockport County Ladies Football Club are one of our primary users. Their senior first team compete within the National League Division 3. They utilise the pitch for all their home games which take place on a Sunday. They also use Tuesday evenings for senior training and Wednesday evenings are for sole use of their Juniors, right through from ages 7 to 16.
Signol Athletic Junior Football Club
Signol Athletic Junior Football Club are affiliated to Woodley Sports Football Club. They are a charter standard and community status junior football club, accommodating ages 6 to 16 year old and have strong links with Woodley Sports Football Club, in respect of the progression of young local talent. Signol Athletic also host an annual football tournament at Woodley Sports Centre which is renowned and said to be one of the biggest in the North West. There are many players who have come through the ranks through our junior and youth programmes and to this day play for Woodley Sports Football Club.
Pro Football 4U
Pro Football 4U make use of the facilities every Saturday morning.
They provide advanced soccer coaching for local young footballers.
Woodley Albion & Stockport Junior Blues
Woodley Albion and Stockport Junior Blues are local junior football clubs and also use our facilities each week.
Cheshire Primary Coaching
Cheshire Primary Coaching book up the majority of available slots during the school holidays for holding soccer camps for young aspiring footballers within the community from the ages of 5 to 16.
Bredbury FC & Queens Bredbury FC
Bredbury FC & Queens Bredbury FC base all their home league and cup matches at Woodley Sports Centre. These teams compete within the Premier Division of the Stockport & District Sunday League.
The Community
Woodley Sports Centre are forging links within the community and have welcomed local schools to use our facilities for holding sporting events such as sports and open days.
