Phase One

Following phase one of the development, there has been a lot of interest in Woodley Sports Centre, so much so that we now have a large number of regular ‘hirers’ of the facility. Woodley Sports Centre has proven to be a highly successful venue for football related activities and there are only a very limited number of available slots for hiring the facilities on a regular basis.


August 2007

August 2007 saw the start of an ever blossoming relationship between Woodley Sports Centre and Stockport College with their Academy of Sport using our facility for football coaching and other football related courses. Shortly after the commencement of the 2007/08 academic year, classrooms were introduced and these have proven to be a huge success.


2008/9

The 2008/09 year saw part of the sports bar being renovated into a fully equipped gymnasium for the purpose of gym instruction courses. This is the start of a new phase for the development at Woodley Sports Centre being a basis for other sporting activities. The start of the 2009/10 academic year saw the installation of a brand new Information Technology Suite.


The local community

The relationships Woodley Sports Centre has with users of our facilities is so important as it provides the young generation within the local community the opportunity to progress and develop to hopefully what will be a prospective successful future in football. Woodley Sports Centre aim to become as involved as possible in the progression of local young talent and promoting grass roots football.
